The following supply air calculations are available

Supply Air Capacity

Calculate the supply air sensible and latent capacity, given the room condition, supply air condition and supply air volume.

Supply Air Volume

Calculate the required supply air volume, given the room condition, supply air condition and sensible room load.

  • Heating loads should be entered as positive numbers; cooling loads as negative numbers.

  • The air volume is based on the sensible load only; the latent capacity of the air is calculated from the data.

  • The displayed sensible and latent capacities are recalculated from the determined supply volume and may be used as an indication of the calculation accuracy. Generally, the sensible load will be within 0.5% of the input room load data.

  • If the supply air dry-bulb condition is greater than the zone dry-bulb condition, the zone load should be entered as a heating (+) load. If lower, it should be entered as a cooling (-) load.

  • Supply Air Condition

Calculate the required supply air condition, given the room condition, room loads and supply air volume.

  • Heating loads should be entered as positive numbers; cooling loads as negative numbers.

  • The displayed sensible and latent capacities are recalculated from the determined supply condition and may be used as an indication of the calculation accuracy. Generally, the loads will be within 0.5% of the input room load data.

  • A warning will be displayed if the resulting condition is off of the chart. However, the calculations will be accurate unless the warning "results are unreliable" is given (generally if the temperature is outside the range -100 °C (-150 °F) to +250 °C (480 °F).
