Project files

To create or open a project file, click Files on the main-page slideout menu. On the Project Files page click New file or Open file. An icon will be added to top-right of the main page for file editing options.

  • When files are first created, they will be initially set be for recording pipe sizing operations. Click Edit file or Edit system and toggle Calculate index resistance to change the file type.

  • Files can be switched between the two types without loss of data.

  • For registered users, project files can be saved to the Silverglance server. The data can be restored/synced to any device registered by the user.

  • On the Project Files page, click Upload file to cloud or Download file to device.

  • On a tablet or desktop, click on Local Files or Files in Cloud to switch between file locations and change the available menu options.

  • All data is stored uniquely to the registered user and is not available to other users.

    Recorded sizes files

  • Pipe sections can be entered in any order.

  • To add sections to a file, click Add to file on the Pipe List or Pipe Data pages. Alternatively, on the main page, click Edit file and either Add section(s) to initiate sections for editing, or Add after to add further sections to the file.

  • Click Edit pipe to change flowrate, pipe size and material.

    Index headloss files

  • It is recommended to add and size pipe sections before entering fitting data. This will ensure that the displayed loss coefficients for each fitting are correct.

  • Pipe sections should be entered in the order of flow, i.e., from pump to index terminal.

  • To add sections to a file, click Add to system on the Pipe List or Pipe Data pages. Alternatively, on the main page, click Edit system and either Add section(s) to initiate sections for editing, or Add after to add further sections to the file.

  • Click Edit pipe data to change flowrate, pipe size and material.

  • Click Edit index data to add or change fittings.

  • Click Headloss to calculate and display the system headloss and Create pdf if required.
